On the bright side, Jim Marshall has a promising future as a lobbyist.

There is little that I can say about Jim Marshall's vote against health care for poor, sick children that hasn't been said here or here.

I have no idea what Jim Marshall's excuse is this time. Last time, it was because the bill wasn't sufficiently anti-immigrant. This time, maybe he'll pretend, as the Republicans who hope to unseat him do, that this bill is too generous to poor, sick children.

The upshot: Jim Marshall has shed whatever vestigal gonads he may have had when he went to Washington, and is now largely indistinguishable from whichever Malibu Stacy Republican is seeking to replace him next year. It's a shame, because before he went fetal on us, he seemed like a decent enough member of Congress.
