Sonny says, "too much freedom!"

From the Hattiesburg American, Hayley Barbour and Sonny Perdue would prefer the less exercise of that pesky freedom of the press:

And all this time we thought Gov. Haley Barbour was pro-business.

Well, he probably is. Except when it comes to newspapers.

"You know, if some of them went out of business, it wouldn't be all bad," Barbour was quoted as saying in a blog on the New York Times.

Gov. Sonny Perdue of Georgia, attending the same meeting with Barbour, concurred with a nod. "That's what some of us were just thinking."

"Us" being other Republican Governors, I suppose.
